Delta Care acquired their first Residential Home in 2004. Victoria House (Open Photo Album) is in Brierfield near Nelson and can accomodate 15 people over 65 years of age. • Victoria House has been established since 1983, we take pride in the fact that the homely, informal and friendly atmosphere created has withstood the test of time in making all who come into our care feel at home and at ease as part of our "family" at Victoria House.
• Being only a comparatively small home by care home standards we feel that we can offer that little extra "personal touch" in the care of our clients.
• We are also very aware that this can be a difficult and sometimes upsetting decision for both prospective client and relatives to make, we do however try to make the transition as smooth and pleasant as is possible, with the feelings and well being of client and relatives uppermost in our minds and will gladly help or advise prospective clients or relatives to make this so.
• Although only a small home we provide all the services required e.g. visiting Optician, Chiropodist, Hairdressers, Dentist, Physiotherapist and have a very good working relationship with community nurses and local G. P.'s.
• There is a full entertainments programme in place including regular visits by various outside entertainers.
• Meals are all freshly home cooked with a varied choice and all individual diets are catered for at every meal.
• A passenger stair lift is installed.
• Visiting times are "open house" with relatives or friends welcome anytime.
• All our staff are employed on the basis that they "do care" and are trained to at least N. V Q. level 2 in care, we also have our own qualified assessors in place to assist in this training.
• Our property is situated in the pleasant residential, yet quiet Brierfield area of Nelson overlooking the picturesque Pendle Hill with shops and amenities close by.
