August 2018 Newsletter ~ Charlotte House

4th of February, 2021

The guys had a great day at Lowther Pavilion when they went to see, "We'll Meet Again." There was lots of nostalgia, fantastic vocals and many memories.

There will be a couple more visits this autumn. Andrea is very much looking forward to coming along and joining in the sing song.

How wonderful when you can not only grow your own produce, but eat it too. The cucumber went down a treat with this nutritious salad.

Birthdays are always great to celebrate. They are lovely times to come together and sing!

We are surrounded by such wonderful historic buildings here at Charlotte House. St Augustine's is pictured here in the background.

The walls in the T.V. area are now fully decorated with some new pictures. These were purchased from a local charity shop. Don't they look great!

We ran a competition for someone to win flowers courtesy of Delta Care. The lucky winner received this beautiful bouquet, lovingly hand-crafted by local florist Margaret Mason. We hope the lucky winner loved receiving them as much as we loved sending them. We bet they smelled amazing!

Crafts, games, sewing, and painting ~ so many activities to keep you active and young at heart; we have them all here at Charlotte House. Did you know that you can play yourself at Scrabble? Well, you can! I wonder which hand will win. It's great to keep your mind active.

Who likes fruit? The guys did an amazing job making fruit skewers. I bet they tasted all the better for that extra drizzle of chocolate. Yummy.

At Delta Care we just love to care.

We enjoy bringing people together at Charlotte House. It's an excellent place to meet new friends, share a laugh, start a new hobby, re-visit an old pastime and create something wonderful.

Our guys are so creative. They help one another to succeed. That's what real friends do. The guys are very friendly. They welcome Andrea each day when she comes to take photos and have a chat. Thanks very much guys!

Charlotte House is such a friendly place. It's so lovely to see everyone sitting together, whether it's getting ready to play "beach ball keepy-uppy" or tucking into a cooked breakfast.

Painting takes patience and precision. Just love these beautiful pastel colours.

It's so relaxing to have your nails painted. It gives you that real "feel-good" factor. Pampering of any kind can really make you feel great. It's lovely to have a choice of colours. Loving this understated, yet beautiful pink.

There's always time to stop and pose for a photo at Charlotte House. Andrea finds photo opportunities and says, "Smile. Say cheese."

Crispy cakes! Don't you just love them! Everyone did a really great job. It was a delicate job, but one that was well worth doing right. The results were delicious! Well done everyone.

Sitting together while you craft is an ideal time to have a chat and to get to know one another better. It's always great when you make something which is both beautiful and useful.

The ladies pictured here are decorating shopping bags with paint, buttons, flowers and sparkles. They'll feel a million dollars when they go shopping. If they are for gifts, wow ~ bet the people who receive them will be blown away/

You guys at Charlotte House always make my day. Thank you.
