Your benefits are not affected at all by the receipt of Direct Payments to assist with your care options, as it is neither income nor a benefit. For some local authorities there will be an assessment of an applicant's finances to determine whether they are required to make a contribution to the cost of the services, but this will be decided with plenty of time for an applicant to make an informed decision.
