World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day

4th of February, 2021

Today is World Mental Health Day. Many of us will be affected by mental health issues at some time in our lives.

Mental health issues can take many forms and the struggles are often not visible to the naked eye. Some people hide the way they are feeling about the challenges that they are facing. The emotions, physical and psychological effects can be debilitating and frightening.

We should always look out for the signs.

If we feel someone is not coping, we need to provide opportunities for a dialogue to be opened in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment.

Together we can end the stigma surrounding mental health.

Review from Homecare.co.uk - Delta Care Blackpool

My dad lives with us he is 89 years old We have had amazing care, especially from 2 particular carers. I have been in the care business either working myself or with different family members and know enough of what goes on I was not looking forward to going through the care at home again But my worries were taken away when Neil and Declan started to help with the care for dad these 2 men go above and beyond to help, my dad had a stroke taking time and patients with my dad he is back out of bed short walks to get him out in the wheelchair for short trips out to the cafe or a push along the promenade. Something my dad thought he would never do again. My dad always tells me he's very lucky to have such good carers, Delta has had good communications, and most of the time, timekeeping is good we as a family are very pleased that Delta takes care of my dad's care package and would recommend them If there was an award for carers I would put forward Neil and Declan they are amazing.
