2018 ~ A Regal Year at Charlotte House

2018 ~ A Regal Year at Charlotte House

4th of February, 2021

How 2018 flew! On 27th November 2018 the guys celebrated Lancashire Day in the best way possible, with Lancashire Hotpot and mushy peas.

Doesn't get much more Lancashire than that or much more tasty!

Just in time for Christmas, Dave was able to fit the Smart T.V. for the guys at Charlotte House! This will be a great asset and will enable the guys to watch T.V., listen to music, do quizzes and watch videos.

Great job Dave. Service with a smile.

Preparations began early for Christmas at Charlotte House. Doesn't the tree look fabulous!

Friday 14th December was Christmas Jumper Day and the guys at Charlotte House raised money for Joseph's Goal. A great time was had by everyone and £152.00 raised for the charity.

The school children from St Augustine's came to Charlotte House and everyone enjoyed the wonderful singing and music.

Everyone looked amazing in their Christmas jumpers and there was much fun and laughter. Just the way we like it at Charlotte House.

The guys from Charlotte House and their family members were treated to a right royal do on 21st December. There was Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and to top it all, a visit from "Her Majesty!"

On this occasion, "Her Majesty" went for informal and practical attire, but still sported her tiara ~ just because she could.

It was a pity that "Her Majesty" wasn't around on 8th January 2019 when we celebrated Irene's 96th birthday. None the less everyone enjoyed celebrating this wonderful occasion. Way to go Irene.

A visit to Boundary Mill on 10th January was an excellent idea ~ just in time for the January sales! The ladies enjoyed trying on various hats and fascinators. Must say, everyone looked just fabulous!

The chaps at Charlotte House like to look after themselves, just as much as our ladies. The chaps had a very welcome visit to The Kutting Krew where they were pampered.

There were lots of smiles and good humour and the chaps looked even more dapper than usual.

It's great to get out and about in the local community, especially on such a sunny and mild day.

Sometimes we have to say goodbye to those we have come to know well and care about. This can be difficult. To get together, share memories, partake of a favourite meal and raise a glass is a wonderful act of remembrance.

Valentine's Day is a day best shared with friends and those you care about. The guys at Charlotte House were certainly feeling the love this Valentine's Day.

A wonderful meal, candle-light, love songs and fabulous company. Who could ask for more?

We hope that 2019 will be a happy and healthy year for everyone at Charlotte House. There's so much to look forward to. As usual, there will be a year that's jam packed full with activities, trips and celebrations.

Thank you to everyone for making Charlotte House an amazing place to be. It wouldn't be the same without you!

Review from Homecare.co.uk - Delta Care Chorley

What can I say about the ladies and gentlemen who are currently looking after my wife who is ill with late-stage Dementia? They are all Delta Caring Angels. These Angels come in 4 times a day on a regular basis and do all the essential personal care that my lady needs and a whole lot more. They treat my lady with love, kindness, gentleness and compassion in the cruel journey that she and I are on. I think that it takes a very special person to work in the Care industry and Delta Care, in my opinion, have the cream of the crop providing continual health and palliative care for my lady. My own health is none too good either and I feel that they are keeping a weather eye on myself as the permanent carer in addition. I look forward to seeing their cheery faces each day I must confess! Who looks after the Carer I've often asked myself? Well, Delta Care does this as well. Thank you and God Bless you all.
