September Newsletter ~ Charlotte House

4th of February, 2021

Andrea's birthday was at the beginning of September. It's a good job there weren't as may candles as her age.

The guys had great fun making delicious pasties. The amazing smell filled the offices upstairs and made everyone really hungry. They were cooked to perfection. Great job.

Two of our ladies went on a long awaited holiday together to Wales. They had a great time and said they can't wait for the next one. They very kindly remembered everyone back at Charlotte House, bringing back some wonderful shortbread.

Thank you ladies.

There's always plenty to do and take part in at Charlotte House. Crafts with Rose went down a storm.

Poetry is a great form of expression. One of our ladies shared some brilliant pieces with us.

The guys at Charlotte House were very complimentary about the poems. The guys kindly invited Andrea to read her poem inspired by the sea.

It's always wonderful to see smiling faces at Charlotte House. The smiles begin even before our guys arrive for the day! Everyone is just brilliant. Keep smiling.

This month we welcomed Dave to Delta Care. He is our new handy-person. Dave has been working hard. He's a very happy person to be around and always smiling.

Great job Dave.

The guys at Charlotte House very kindly allowed us to hold a photo-shoot in Charlotte House.

Two of the ladies took part and don't they look great.

Special thanks to the staff at Charlotte House for enabling us to make the photo-shoot happen and to the care staff who had their photos taken.

The Delta Care family is expanding.

We now have offices in Macclesfield and Trafford. Delta Care has also won contracts in St Helens and Stockport. These are exciting times.

Charlotte House is very much a home from home. Great friends and lasting friendships are formed. Even though everyone isn't together every day, the guys know that they'll soon be with their friends again.

The guys are hosting an event to support the work of Macmillan Cancer Support right at the end of September. There will be cakes, refreshments, a book sale, tombola, name the bear, guess the weight of the cake and much more.

All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support. We look forward to sharing the photos with you in our next issue.

Save The Date: Friday 28th September from 2 - 3 pm. Help us to raise money for Macmillan and have a great time too.

Review from Homecare.co.uk - Delta Care Blackpool

My dad lives with us he is 89 years old We have had amazing care, especially from 2 particular carers. I have been in the care business either working myself or with different family members and know enough of what goes on I was not looking forward to going through the care at home again But my worries were taken away when Neil and Declan started to help with the care for dad these 2 men go above and beyond to help, my dad had a stroke taking time and patients with my dad he is back out of bed short walks to get him out in the wheelchair for short trips out to the cafe or a push along the promenade. Something my dad thought he would never do again. My dad always tells me he's very lucky to have such good carers, Delta has had good communications, and most of the time, timekeeping is good we as a family are very pleased that Delta takes care of my dad's care package and would recommend them If there was an award for carers I would put forward Neil and Declan they are amazing.
