I am the Quality and Compliance Officer at Delta Care Ltd. I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 32 years both in residential and domiciliary care. I found this was my vocation and the career pathway I wanted to choose. I initially trained as a carer for several years and worked my way up to a care co-ordinator role and naturally moved into the position of a Registered Manager. During my career, I also had a passion for training and have been able to utilize my training skills and qualifications in my daily role, as well as standing in as a trainer if and when required.
I have a Level 5 in Health and Social Care as well as a Level 4 in Leadership and Management, Moving and Handling Train the Trainer, and numerous training courses to enable me to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
I joined Delta Care in 2018, where I commenced as the Registered Manager for the Macclesfield branch. The Macclesfield branch was a brand-new start-up in the Cheshire East area at which time we worked extremely hard to promote Delta care’s name and its reputation as to where it is today. As a manager, my ethos is to have an open and transparent relationship with the staff I support and ensure they deliver a high standard and quality of care. It is imperative the staff are supported and given the skills to fulfill their roles to the best of their ability to ensure we run a smooth and seamless operation.
In October 2022 I was given the opportunity to move into a new role as Quality and Compliance Lead to ensure that all our branches are compliant with CQC Regulations and Local Authority guidelines, as well as working in line with our own internal policies and procedures.
