My name is Laura and my role at Delta Care Ltd is Operations Manager.
I work closely with the directors to ensure that all locations operate to a high standard that they have worked hard to instill over the years. My journey in care began as a care Assistant in a care home. Quickly within this role I completed my level 2 and 3 in health and social care and progressed to unit manager.
In 2015 I joined Delta Care Ltd to take on the challenge of care coordinator. At this time Delta Care Ltd had 2 Domiciliary care branches and a small residential home but we managed to grow and branch out into another area and open another branch. The family culture at Delta Care Ltd and being mentored by the directors ensured that I knew this was the Company for me. Within 2 years I was encouraged to complete my NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management and also gained my Level 3 In teaching and learning.
After winning 2 new council contracts in 2018 my role changed to Project manager so I could lead the start-up of new branches. I became involved in writing tenders with the directors and my role naturally evolved to Operations Manager, supporting all 6 Domiciliary care locations, the residential home, and a nursing home.
I am super hands-on! I mentor/support all employees and clients of Delta Care Ltd, looking to improve processes, client experiences and instill the family culture of Delta Care Ltd in all locations.
