I am Susan, the Registered Manager at Delta Care Ltd. Charlotte House Day Care Centre. I started out in health and social care as a care assistant in nursing homes, and I quickly learnt this was my lifetime career choice and what I want to do for the rest of my working life.
I have worked for Delta Care for 23 years, starting off as a care coordinator, then going on to management in residential care for Delta Care. In 2021, I took a step down from management of the care home and came back to my original job as a care coordinator at the Preston office. In February 2022, I was offered the position of Manager at Charlotte House Day Centre. I absolutely love organising the themed days, parties, trips out and activities within the centre with the support of the care team and drivers, and hopefully making a difference in people’s lives who otherwise may be socially isolated.
