What is Well Being Day Care?

It's a safe, comfortable and friendly environment where you can make new friends, improve health, well being and join in various personalised activities and outings. At the request of our service users we attend several venues and places of interest outside normal day care hours. We believe promoting quality of life should not be restricted by time of day.

Who is it For?

Charlotte House is available for people over 50 years of age; we can however accommodate someone younger if appropriate, this is at the discretion of the management.

It would be beneficial to a wide range of people as we are able to provide support for persons with Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairments, Various Mental Health conditions including Dementia or Learning Disabilities; some may benefit from our Active Living Program, or just wish to join in the various activities and outings that we provide.

If you are finding it difficult to manage on your own at home or feel you would benefit from socialising with your peers due to feeling isolated, Charlotte House is the ideal place for you or your relative.

Attending Charlotte House also gives the carer an opportunity to have some time for them self, this is particularly helpful if the carer is feeling tired, stressed or has health problems of their own.

How Can it Help Me?

Charlotte House gives you access to rehabilitation, support, advice and the chance to meet other people; you can get involved in activities and outings that interest you. You will be supported to retain/regain independence, develop new skills and increase confidence. If you have a carer, it will give you both a change of routine.

Charlotte House believes that care of people with dementia should adhere to the following principles:

  • Provided by staff trained in providing good dementia care who have access to specialist support
  • Focused on meeting needs and aspirations
  • Provide a program of activities to encourage interaction and promote skills
  • Promote dignity and respect and maintain human rights
  • Provide an individual person centred plan of care
  • Maintain the highest quality of life possible for individuals with dementia
  • Closely coordinated between different professionals and services across health and social care

Charlotte House recently became the overall winners in the Wellbeing and Prevention Category at the Central Lancashire's Got Talent Provider Awards 2014 for the proven benefits of the Namaste Care Program.

Customer Feedback
Review from Homecare.co.uk - Delta Care Southport

Highly professional company. So caring, respectful and flexible with the needs of my mum. The staff are so friendly and treat my mum with dignity as she has been left unable to care for herself. Nothing is too much to ask and the office staff are always helpful and easy to approach with any concerns we may have and advice is readily available. In these uncertain times, the carers arrive in PPE: gloves, masks, aprons etc and ensure hygiene is at the highest level. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any anyone looking for care for their loved one.
